It's Not a Craze

Starting to get fed up with the media picking up on web 2.0 sites as 'crazes' as if you can compare them to shell suits or bad haircuts. If a websites/social media platforms usage has been growing at an exponential rate for some time it means something different entirely. People simply don't use online platforms unless they offer genuine and continuous benefit to the user. Facebook and twitter have managed it and continue to grow as a result, others are in their shadows doing similarly interesting things.

They can no longer be talked about as fads or trends, they are here to stay and represent a new media age - one that will not be going away. Lets start talking about these revolutionary sites like we talk about other established media players.
